SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
January 2, 2016

Meeting was called to order at 10:00 AM with pledge to the flag.  Members Bob Cook, Eleanor Kilmer, Bob Steele and James Satchel were present.

Bob Cook mentioned Rod Merten's camera was running in the appropriate position.

Minutes to be taken by Treasurer, Eleanor Kilmer.

Bob Cook said one application for clerk was given by Amanda Gusek. Satchel questioned if a resume by Amanda was provided. Qualifications and experience were stated in application. Satchel questioned if everyone was contacted for this special meeting, said he didn't get any phone call.

Questions from Satchel for Amanda:

Have you been to township meeting in last two years? Amanda - No, but she has been to meetings.
Quick Books training and Microsoft? Amanda - Yes
Is her office Handicap accessible? Amanda - Yes
What hours would she be available? Amanda - Regular business hours by appointment.
Who would be the deputy clerk? Amanda - her husband Chris Gusek.
Learning the job? Stacy has offered to help with the transition, also Eleanor and Bob are willing to help.
Are you familiar with the Open Meetings Act and FOIA? Amanda - she has been reading up on both.

Motion to nominate Amanda Gusek as clerk by Bob Steele and seconded by Kilmer. Roll call vote, Bob Steele - yes, James Satchel - no, Eleanor Kilmer - yes, Bob Cook - yes  Carried.

Motion to adjourn by Bob Steele, seconded by Kilmer, carried.

Re-opened meeting to accept minutes, Bob Steele moved we approve minutes, seconded by Kilmer.
