Regular Meeting Minutes
December 2, 2019
1. Call to order with pledge to the Flag-Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm
2. Minutes of Previous Meeting – Motion to approve minutes for previous meeting made by Steele, seconded by Lotter, motion carried.
3. Public Comment – None
4. Reports
A. State Senator – Kevin Daley gave an update, Budget was submitted and governor line item vetoed 147 items, most of which affected rural Michigan, used administrative board to redistribute funds from budget between departments. Will need to send her a new budget for those items to work out. Car insurance will be going down next year due to a new bill that was passed. Caro Center will be using original plan and make it into 100 bed rather than 200 bed and probably be using same contractors.
B. County Commissioner-No Report
C. Ambulance-Glen Fox reported-The new ambulance is in service, the old ambulance has been sold, next meeting will be next Tuesday
D. Library – Mayville-No Report-Website has been consistently had 2520-2620 hits per month
E. Planning Commission-Travis Reported Township has no control over exotic animals that would be an issue for the Sherriff or animal control, mentioned need for hall having a map to display for public. Next meeting 12/10.
F. Zoning Administrator-0 Land Divisions, 0 Dwelling Permit, 0 Pole Barn Permits
G. Blight Enforcement Officer-There are 2 being worked on and should be cleaned up by the end of the year.
H. Cemetery-No Burials
I. Assessor-No Report
J. Trustees-Trustee Lotter asked if the FOIA request was completed. A letter was sent following up extending the time allowed. No response has been received yet. A final letter will be sent with the response to the request.
5. Supervisor
A. Roads- Asphalt getting quoted for next year-Shay Lake road will hopefully be resolved so we can get it paved, double chip and fog seal on Cat Lake road from Harmon Lake road to Blackmore. Cook will check to see if we maintain all the way to Blackmore, it might only go as far as Mead Road. The Shay Lake bridge will end up in court.
6. Treasurer
A. Financial Report- Eleanor read financial report.
7. Clerk
A. Expense Report-Tony read the expense report totaling $43,285.77. Motion to pay bills made by Steele, seconded by Lotter. The Motion Carried.
