Regular Meeting Minutes
April 4, 2016

 Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to the flag. Members Bob Cook, Eleanor Kilmer, Amanda Gusek, Bob Steele, and Greg Lotter were present.

Minutes from March 7, 2016 meeting were motioned for approval by Steele and seconded by Kilmer, motion carried with 5 yes.

Public Comment:  None

Ambulance: None

Planning Commission: Doug Graham was present, and commented on the master plan.  No questions.

Zoning Administrator:  No permits

Blight Officer:  None

Cemetery: Eleanor reported that we had one loss this month on March 19th.

Assessor:  None

Trustee:  Greg asked on the lawsuit. Nothing heard yet.

Supervisor: Thanks to the people coming out to vote. We had 569 voters in the Township.

 ROADS:  Hunt road needs to be fixed east of the Bridge      

Signing the contracts for the ½ mile of asphalt on Phelps Lake Rd. from Treasurer Rd.    to Lee Hill Rd.

Treasurer: Income of $12.79 as of the 1st.

Clerk: Invoice to be paid with the AUTO EFT and checks #7430-#7447 in the amount of $57,038.50. After a brief explanation of said invoices it was motioned by Steele, seconded by Lotter to pay bills. Motion carried with 5 yes.

New Business:  Road Mileages Resolutions: Dayton Township has a road mileage assessment of 1 mil ($1.00per $1,000.00 of value) approved through 2018, raising an estimated $48,600.00 per year shall the 15 mill limitation imposed under Article IX, sec 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes with Dayton Township be increased by an additional 1 mill for the period of four years, 2016 through 2020 inclusive, for the sole and exclusive purpose of repair and maintenance of roads within Dayton Township and shall the Township be authorized to levy such additional millage for said purpose? Approval of the millage with raise a first year estimates total of $48,600.00

Motion by Lotter       Seconded by Kilmer          Roll Call vote of 5 Yes

Shay Lake Bridge,  Board Resolution of support for the reconstruction of the Shays lake road bridge over the Sucker Creek drain section 11&14 – Dayton Township between Plain Road & Reid Road.

The following resolution was made and moved for its adoption:

Be it resolved, the Board hereby supports the Tuscola County Road Commission in their application for funding to the State and /or Federal participation in the reconstruction of Shays Lake Road Bridge over Sucker Creek Drain      Structure Number: 10565

Be It Further Resolved, which the Board, County of Tuscola, concurs that this reconstruction is urgently needed.

 Roadside Maintenance, Midland to do the roads for the same price $3800.00

Motion to adjourn the meeting made by Steele, seconded by Lotter, motion carried and meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
