Regular Meeting Minutes
May 1, 2017
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the pledge to the flag. Members Bob Cook, Eleanor Kilmer, Amanda Gusek, Bob Steele and Greg Lotter were present.
Minutes from the April 3, 2017 meeting were motioned for approval by Lotter and seconded by Steele. Motion carried with 5 yes.
Public Comment: Margaret Fox commented that the sign at the West Dayton Cemetery needs to be repainted.
Ambulance: Glenn Fox was present, Gave Report. No Questions.
Mayville Library: Gail Cook was present. Reported that they are going to hold a painting class at the Mayville library on the 19th of May. No questions.
Planning Commission: Travis was present and gave report. No questions
Zoning Administrator: Bob reported that he issued 4 Pole Barn permits, 2 land Divisions, and 1 temporary Land Use Application.
Blight Officer: No Report
Cemetery: Eleanor reported that there were two lots sold in the West Dayton Cemetery. We had one burial on the 20th of April. Condolences to the family.
Assessor: Joan was not present.
Trustee: Bob Steele spoke about the ADA. It was posted in the papers and on TV with incorrect information.
Supervisor: Bob Cook spoke about Abby & Abbey Law Firm. They are increasing the hourly rate from $200.00 to $215.00 an hour.
Treasurer: reported income of $67,883.14 and expenses of $113,462.92 for a balance on hand of $315,998.69 there is $8,240.61 in the checking. There is $106,488.63 in money market account and a CD face value of $201,269.69.
Clerk: Invoice to be paid with the AUTO EFT and checks#7733-7751 in the amount of $20,002.03. After a brief explanation of said invoices it was motioned by Steele, seconded by Lotter to pay bills. Motion carried with 5 yes.
New Business: Connie Phelps was present to talk about the benefit Mud Bog for the panhandle relief. Matt Schaller from the “agriculture relief fund” was also present. Connie furnished all the information that she needed to obtain a temporary use permit for the Township to have this Benefit Mud Bog. Gates will open at 9:00 a.m. and will close at 7:00 p.m. Police protection will be present at the Benefit. Motion by Bob Steele, seconded by Amanda Gusek with a roll call vote of Bob Steele yes, Greg Lotter yes, Eleanor Kilmer no, Amanda Gusek yes, and Bob Cook yes
Motion to adjourn the meeting made by Steele. Motion carried and meeting was adjourned at 7:58 p.m.
