Regular Meeting Minutes
May 7, 2018

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the pledge to the flag. Members Bob Cook, Eleanor Kilmer, Tony Shaver, Bob Steele and Greg Lotter were present.     

Minutes from the April 2, 2018 meeting were motioned for approval by Lotter and seconded by Steele. Cook welcomed Tony Shaver the temporary clerk.  

    
Public Comment: None

Ambulance:  Glen Fox reported on 4/10 meeting. Approved 2/13 meeting minutes and financial reports for Feb and Mar, Auditor was present went over audit reports with board reports are available to those who need them, 1 new EMT volunteer, another first responder that has taken EMT class. As of 4/10 meeting we are only township that has paid their contracts. Feb Income $17,800 Exp $18,000, Dispatched 48 for Feb 2018 48 for Feb 2017 and 54 for Feb 2016: March Income $21,000 Exp $8,900. Dispatched 50 for Mar 2018, 57 for March, 2017, 47 for March 2016. Donated $250 to Sunflower Festival and $250 to fire fighters.

Mayville Library:  No report. 

Planning Commission: Travis Klimek was present, and stated that their last meeting was last month, Bob said we had 2 land divisions and some blight issues as well. They got into their review got through article 1 and 2 found one misspelled word. Mail passed along to Travis.

Zoning Administrator: Bob has not issued any more permits yet, 3 in the next couple days. Bob has been laid up 8 days longer than expected and cannot drive yet. Thanked everyone for their cards and help.

Cemetery:  Eleanor reported that she received a call that they will have the flags for us and even some new holders if needed likely tomorrow for the veterans. Need someone to put them up. We have done a lot of work with veterans to update information. 2 Spaces to Lori Mead and Bob Fritz foundation was put in this week.

 Assessor:  No report

Trustee: No report

Supervisor:   Bob reported that we will be signing the agreement for gravel on Pattison road and the tonnage on other various roads. He does not know when they are going to start on Brown road. 4,000 ton of 23A for Phelps Lake, Shays Lake, English Rd., and other spots in the township. They won’t be crushing till last of June.

Treasurer: Eleanor mentioned that we have the list of the properties from Shays Lake and Phelps Lake of first right of refusal, tax delinquencies, that we don’t want. List of properties given to public to review for interest. Motion to refuse made by Steele motion carried. Audit coming up July 3 was pushed to give clerk time to adjust. Auditors have tried to be in contact with previous clerk. End of year report available.

Clerk: Invoices to be paid with the AUTO EFT and checks #8005-8030 in the amount of $50,339.09.  There were three payments from Eleanor, 2 were from April 8005 will be voided, motioned by Steele, seconded by Lotter to pay bills. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

New Business: Need to advertise for a Clerk on website and advertiser. Current clerk is a temporary interested in full time but want it open to public. Deadline is May 21, 2018. Applications held with Cook and to be reviewed at the June meeting. Special meeting report read to accept resignation of Katlyn Burgess. Tony Shaver appointed as temporary clerk.

Motion to adjourn the meeting made by Bob Cook, the  motion carried and meeting was adjourned at 7:27 p.m.
