PUBLIC  COMMENT: No public comment.

ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT - BOB COOK : There were 5 pole barns, 1 patio/deck, and 2 demo permits issued.

OLD BUSINESS: Vicky Sherry and Steve Erickson, from the EDC, attended the meeting to discuss the Master Plan. The correction on page 28 with the percentages had been fixed. There is a correction on page 32, omitting hotel/apartments and adding assisted living, that still needs  to be taken care of and two resolutions. Vicky will be taking care of the final corrections and emailing  the final draft to Hilary and Travis. Chris Yens made a motion for the Planning Commission Board to hold a public hearing on October 16, 2017 at 7:00pm, at the Dayton Township Hall for  the  approval of  the Master Plan, with The Planning Commission Board's regular meeting to follow, seconded by Doug Graham.

With  the  majority of  the  Board accepting the  motion, the motion  carried. Hilary will be placing an announcement in the Tuscola Advertiser starting on  September 23rd. After the Planning Commission approves the Master Plan, a 63 day public review will begin.  The Board will at that time send the Master Plan to adjoining townships, utilities and railroads associated with our township.  The Master Plan will also be on the township hall.

When that is all taken care of and completed, the Planning Commission Board will ask the Board of Trustees to adopt the Master Plan and the Board of Trustees will hold a special resolution to decide if they will adopt the Master Plan or not.

Bob Cook, Travis, and Doug attended the MTA conference in Frankenmuth this year. The discussions were marijuana laws, solar ordinances, and short term rental regulations. They found the conference speaker to be very informative and knowledgeable.

A motion was made by Doug Graham to adjourn the meeting, seconded by  Bob Steele.

 Meeting was adjourned at 7:47pm.
