PLANNING COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 20, 2017
Meeting called to order by Chairman Travis Klimek at 7:55 p.m.
Present were Ralph Mock, Ernie Coleman, Chris Yens, Hilary Slusher,Doug Graham, Bob Steele, Bob Cook, and Travis Klimek.
Minutes from December 19, 2016 meeting were read. Chris Made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Doug Graham.
Minutes from the Special Meeting held on January 30, 2017 were read. Bob Steele made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Doug Graham.
Minutes from the Public Hearing held on February 20, 2017 were read.
Bob Steele made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Ralph Mock.
PUBLIC COMMENT: LeAnn Bower expressed her concern about a solar farm bringing down her property values.
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT - BOB COOK: There was one pole barn permit issued and 7 land divisions.
OLD BUSINESS: Vicky Sherry and Steve Erickson attended the meeting. Vicky passed out a 45 page rough draft of the master plan to all of the Board members. She also asked that we get her copies of the current zoning ordinances, any current maps, and information on our green energy. She asked that the Board reviews the rough draft of the master plan and email, sherry@tuscolaedc.org, her with any changes that might be needed or ideas that we have in a timely manner.
At the next meeting on April 17th, Bob Cook will have a list of the Board Members and when their memberships renew.
Doug Graham made a motion to send The Request to Amend Section 14.24 Solar Farms to the Dayton Townsh ip Board for adoption, seconded by Ernie Coleman. Role call was taken and with the majority of the vote being Yes, the motion was approved. The motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS: THE 2017-2018 budget for the Planning Commission was discussed. Chris made a motion to send to the Board the zoning budget for 2017-2018 which would reflect the 2016-2017 budget, seconded by Doug Graham.
Role call was taken and with the majority of the vote Yes, the motion was approved. The motion carried.
Bob Steele made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Hilary. Meeting adjourned at 8:31pm.
