DAYTON TOWNSHIP

DAYTON TOWNSHIP
PLANNING COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
OCTOBER 16, 2017

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Travis Klimek.

Present were Ralph Mock, Ernie Coleman, Chris Yens, Hilary Slusher, Doug Graham, Bob Steele, Bob Cook and Travis Klimek.

Travis informed the public that the rules of how the public meeting should be run were posted in the Township Hall and Travis read them during the meeting.

The Public Notice that was posted in the Tuscola County Advertiser for the Public Hearing on the proposed Master Plan was read by Travis during the meeting.

Public Comment: Vicky Sherry and Steven Erickson were present from the EDC. Vicky asked the Board if we received any written comments. We did not. The next step is for the Planning Commission Board to take a vote to approve the resolution of the Master Plan and then it will have a 65 day public review period before it goes to the Board of Trustees for Ratification.  This is Dayton Township's first Master Plan. Once the Master Plan is adopted it has to be reviewed every five years. Vicky recommended that we do our first review during the 2020 census.

Travis asked if there were any more questions. Without any further questions a motion was made by Chris Yens to adjourn the Public Hearing, seconded by Doug Graham. The Public Hearing was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.

The Planning Commission regularly scheduled meeting to be held immediately after.
