JOB Opening! Township Board is taking applications for appointment for the Zoning Administrator-Blight Officer position. General knowledge and a willingness to learn Dayton Township Ordinances and Policies is a must. Dayton Township Board retains unto itself all rights to accept or reject any or all Applications for Appointment to Boards and Committees. This is a paid position that is appointed by the board. State requirements for this position are:
Membership:
The BOR consists of 3 members appointed by the board for a two year term that begins on January 1 of each odd numbered year.
Three, six or nine members appointed by the township board. Board of review members must be electors (residents). At least 2/3 of the members shall be property taxpayers of the township.
A member of the school or township board may NOT serve on the board of review or fill any vacancy.
A spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, son or daughter, including an adopted child, of the assessor is not eligible to serve on the board or fill any vacancy.
All members are required to attend board of review education programs required or approved by the STC, which will include online or in person options.
ROAD Condition Committee openings:

Details of the Road Condition Commission as defined in the Dayton Township Policy & Procedure manual:
NON-OFFICIAL COMMITTEE made up of, but not limited to, Dayton Township Business Owners and Residents (permanent or seasonal). The goal of the Road Condition Committee is being implemented to gather real time complaints on township road conditions by the people who use them most, our constituents.
Comments, complaints or suggestions should be made to the Township Supervisor for reporting at monthly Board Meeting.
Condition of Dayton Township Roads reported to Supervisor as in need of immediate resolution will be reported to Tuscola County Road Commission. Information gathered by the Township Supervisor from any and all members of the Road Condition Committee will be presented to the Township Board for consideration at the Budget Workshop meeting to determine expenses for upcoming yearly road budget.
